About The Ad Space

Location:

2522 SE Clinton St, Portland, OR 97202, USA

About this space:

Slides are on the screen for twelve seconds, and since we keep the preshow program to five minutes, from the opening of the box office to start of the film, your message is seen a minimum of six times. The preshow program runs prior to all regular films events, including KBOO Community Radio nights, the Clinton Street Resistance Series, and the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW, which happens every single Saturday night.

About this Clinton Street Theater:

We attract all types of people for movies and productions. Give your message the impact it deserves by advertising on the big screen at the Clinton Street Theater. You’ve got a captive audience, and our patrons span all generations. We advertise only local businesses, organizations and events, and since the theater is a neighborhood cornerstone, you are targeting creative folks, passionate about life, who live and work in the Division/Clinton Street area. Space for ads in the preshow is limited, so don’t miss out and claim your spot. The Clinton Street Theater opened for business as a “moving picture house” in 1914 and it’s been in operation ever since, making it the longest continuously running theater in the Pacific NW. It’s a small 222-seat, single screen neighborhood cinema, tucked in the middle of a 1913 multi-use building. If that alone isn’t remarkable, the Clinton Street Theater has another claim to fame. Every Saturday night since April 1978, we dance the Time Warp (again and again and again), making our weekly run of the ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW the longest in the world.

About Lani Jo Leigh:

A landmark of Portland cinema history, The Clinton Street Theater is one of the oldest operating movie houses in the United States. Opening in 1915 as the Clinton, the theater became the 26th Avenue Theatre in 1945 and the Encore in 1969. In 1976 it reverted to its original name. Although the theater has undergone many changes over the years, it remains an intimate single screen venue with the capacity for 222 patrons. Famous for its long-standing exhibition of the Rocky Horror Picture Show, the theater is currently a magnet for independent / revival films. In April of 2012, the Clinton Street Theater was purchased by Roger and Lani Jo Leigh. It has a revolving cast of volunteers and film freaks who enjoy helping support its existence.
